Taicang | E.G.O. Components (China) Co., Ltd. (E.G.O. China) is generating green electricity with a new photovoltaic system on the roof of the plant in Taicang.

Photovoltaic modules are ideally suited to generating re­newable electricity – this technology is making an import­ant contribution to reducing CO₂. E.G.O. China is setting a good example here:

16.05.2022 First E.G.O. Planet Award presented

Bologna | Outstanding commitment to sustainability and environmental protection in the foundry production area – the first E.G.O. Planet Award goes to ETA d.o.o. Cerkno.

The first E.G.O. Planet Award was conferred at the International Operations Meeting (IOM) in Bologna, Italy on May 10, 2022. Besides Slovenia, the teams from Spain and Austria had made it to the final.

27.04.2022 3D printing opens up new possibilities

Oberderdingen | Functional prototypes, samples, or machine parts for use in production – all of this can be produced with the 3D printer.

Today, sophisticated software is used to develop products. It also helps to identify and eliminate errors and problems at an early stage. Nevertheless, software does not replace the physical implementation of the products. The Production Technology Center 1 (PTC 1) team at E.G.O. Elektro-Gerätebau GmbH recognized this.

Lliçà de Vall | E.G.O. Appliance Controls, S.L.U. (EAC) is supporting an eReuse program with the Fundació Trinijove Foundation.

The program aims to refurbish and reuse old and defective IT devices. At the same time, a social purpose is supported.

25.01.2022 Environmental experts with a sustainable mission

Oberderdingen | Apprentices from E.G.O. are trained as energy scouts via the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Karlsruhe.

Climate protection, energy efficiency, and sustainability are becoming more and more challenging, as is the education and training of experts in these divisions within companies. For this reason, the Karlsruhe Chamber of Industry and Commerce offers the opportunity for junior staff to undergo further training to become "energy scouts" across all occupations and training years. The trainees of the E.G.O.-Group also take advantage of this offer.

24.01.2022 Coil production started

Ergene/Çorlu | Supported by colleagues from the E.G.O. sites in China and Germany, E.G.O. Elektrikli Aletler Sanayi A.Ş. (E.G.O. Turkey) successfully set up and started the production for induction coils within a short period of time. The first series was successfully produced at the end of January.

Itatiba | With the official entry in the Commercial Register, which took place on October 7, 2021, the integration of DEFENDI is now legally valid. Defendi do Brasil Ltda has thus become E.G.O. do Brasil Ltda.
